English slipper chair from the late 19th century features a tufted upholstered back with an upholstered seat and outswept arms. The chair is raised on four legs with casters: the front two legs are turned and tapered while the rear ones are flaring out. Slipper chairs were traditionally used in bedrooms helping ladies get dressed. This particular English slipper chair, with its low seat, would look wonderful in any bedroom. Slipper chairs are typically problem solvers, particularly in smaller rooms.
